Jack has been studying at UWA since 2011, received his BSc in Geology and Chemistry in 2015, BSc First Class Honours (Geology) in 2016 and a master of Science (Geology) in 2017. His primary research interests are associated with U-Pb geochrology of Zircon, and how this can be used to constrain the onset, duration, and timeframes of magmatic events. Most recently he has used U-Pb geochronology to help constrain and refine the current models outlining the formation of lower arc crust within the Kohistan Arc Complex of North-East Pakistan, which is still undergoing further research at this time.
