A specialist in magmatic Ni-Cu-PGE deposits, John’s career includes exploration, operational and business development roles for WMC, Anglo American and the junior exploration and consulting sectors.  While focused today on project and target generation activities, other career roles include opportunity assessment, early-stage project management, intrapreneurial marketing and financial evaluation. 

A specialist in high-risk portfolio management, John has developed innovative venture creation and management experience through his technology commercialisation activities across multiple high-growth industries.

One of the founders of Newgenco, he has led this private exploration group’s growth into North America, Scandinavia and West Africa from his role as Managing Director.

From 2001-09, John co-facilitated a biannual reality education program in New Venture Creation and private equity capital raising for the technology sector within the MBA program at the University of Western Australia.  He is a co-founder and Director of informatics company Innovation Economics, recipient of the first grant from the Pilot Program component of Commercialisation Australia.
