Sciences from the University of Sri Jayawardenapura, Sri Lanka. Soon after his
graduation, he joined the Geothermal Resource mapping project at the National
Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS), Sri Lanka, with expertise in
Magnetotellurics and Transient Electromagnetic exploration.
In 2012 he was awarded a fellowship
for advanced training on geophysical exploration at United Nations University,
Iceland. In 2017, he obtained his M.Phil degree for his thesis titled "
Mapping geothermal resources in Sri Lanka: Combined use of Magnetotellurics and
Transient Electromagnetic method from the University of Peradeniya, Sri
Lanka".
Currently, he is a PhD student at CET, focused
