CET wins a major Australia Award to conduct Mineral and Energy Economics courses in South Africa and Australia

CET in partnership with the University of Witwatersrand (Wits) in South Africa has won a major Federal Government Australia Award for the provision of a yearly eight-week program in Mineral and Energy Economics over the period 2018 – 2022.
The program, to be directed by Prof. Pietro Guj will consist of two four-week components, one in Johannesburg and the second in Perth, after a break of approximately one month. Participants will be selected among mid-career mining-related professionals and government officers from jurisdictions throughout Africa. Besides leading academics from the three universities involved, i.e. UWA, Curtin and Wits, the program will also involve key mineral governance and technical specialists from both industry and government.
