Target 2020: Innovating now for our future The Target 2020 conference organised by Geoconferences (WA) will be held at the Uniclub at the University of Western Australia on the 17th of July, 2020 in Perth, Western Australia following the 6th Archean International Symposium. Following the success of Target 2017, Geoconferences is organising Target 2020 in collaboration with the Centre for Exploration Targeting to showcase innovations developed to aid discovery of new tier-one deposits and broaden the exploration space under cover. Target 2020 will focus on all aspects of mineral exploration and provide a unique opportunity to workshop solutions to the mineral industry challenges that lie ahead.

2020 Bowen Basin Symposium: “Beyond 2020: The Future of Coal”

In September 2020, the Bowen Basin Geologist’s Group (BBGG) will conduct its 8th Bowen Basin Symposium titled “Beyond 2020: The Future of Coal”. The Bowen Basin Symposium is held once every 5 years and has been a resounding success since its inception in 1985. The Symposium usually attracts over 500 delegates and aims to foster the exchange of ideas for the solution of common problems and challenges; and to maintain an awareness of new technologies provided through oral and poster presentations and trade displays.
