Geophysical Exploration: Gravity and Magnetics

This micro-credential focuses on gravity and magnetic methods as the two most commonly used geophysical methods in mineral exploration. As mineral exploration increasingly seeks deep targets under thick cover, geophysics is expected to play a greater role in exploration. The micro-credential provides the opportunity for participants to learn to work with geophysical data in a learning scenario that mimics how they are used in the work place.

Delivery mode: Onsite (F2F)
Start date: Mid-November
Duration: One week intensive followed by completion of practical work
Effort: 75 hours

This micro-credential aims to provide professional geologists with the opportunity to build upon their existing knowledge and skills in structural geology and to be able to expand their understanding of structural analysis applied to ore deposits. It is ideal for industry geologists who are looking to develop more advanced skills of relevance to their current or future employment.
