Stimulating Discussions at the AIG Mineral Systems Workshop

The Australian Institute for Geoscientists (AIG) recently held a 1-day Mineral Systems workshop in Perth WA. Amongst the presenters, CET’s Director, T. Campbell McCuaig and Deputy Director, John Miller discussed the Mineral Systems Concept and recent developments in understanding gold formation in the Yilgarn, respectively. CET researcher, Paul Duuring, presented on BIF-hosted iron and compared the traditional ore deposit model approach to the more “holistic” mineral system model

CET’s very own Director, Cam McCuaig and CET Board member, Jon Hronsky, along with Robbie Rowe and Trevor Beardsmore lead a panel of industry professionals and academics in a discussion on the Mineral System approach to targeting.
